Twiga Campsite

Twiga Campsite is a private campsite located at the most popular stopover on Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit, near the colorful market village of Mto wa Mbu and the entrance gate to Lake Manyara National Park, along the foot of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.

The Campsite is located near the road to the most famous parks in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park.

It is 5km from the Lake Manyara gate. The campsite’s location attracts many local residents, who benefit from tourists who come to shop and walk around the village.

Since the campsite is outside the park, the area’s security is now maintained by the campsite owner.

In addition to the fence, there are several guards outside, always monitoring your belongings.

There is a small lodge inside the fence with several rooms. The campsite is also open to the public and used by several other Safari companies.

Toilets and other facilities are shared by campers. The swimming pool is surrounded by tropical flowers, trees, and shrubbery.

The myriad bird species that visit our beautiful gardens ensure that, at Twiga Campsite, you will be greeted each morning with a dawn chorus of birdsong.

You can walk around Mto wa mbu village, and your guide will give an idea of what events are in the village on that day. Or you can go to a local disco or just visit the colorful market. We will bring all the camping equipment with you.
