Situated on the western corridor of the world-famous Serengeti National Park, Singita Serengeti House offers guests exclusive-use accommodation and access to 350,000 acres of private land, providing an unparalleled private safari experience.
Singita Serengeti House
Singita Serengeti House is located in the western Serengeti, within the private Grumeti Reserve.
The house accommodates 8 guests, with 2 spacious suites located in the main house and 2 additional garden suites – one set to each side of the house in separate buildings – all featuring private outdoor showers and terraces.
In addition, the main house comprises large dining and lounge areas, ample decked areas with day beds, a 25m swimming pool, and a private tennis court.
Whilst maintaining a homelike and luxurious feel, Serengeti House uniquely offers this alongside genuine individual privacy for all guests.
Alongside its big brother Sasakwa (although Serengeti House does have a very unique charm), it is the pinnacle of luxury within the Grumeti Reserve and therefore Tanzania.
Positioned on the lower slopes of Sasakwa Hill and with the wide Serengeti plains spreading out before it, Serengeti House is an exclusive-use retreat, idyllically located within easy sight of a watering hole.
As with all Grumeti properties, a fantastic experience is offered year-round, but Great Migration Seekers should visit in June and early July for the perfect Tanzania safari.
Combining the Serengeti House, or any of Singita’s properties for that matter, with a lodge in the National Park itself makes for a great combination, especially if you are travelling outside of the season when the migration is in the Grumeti region.
As with all of Singita’s properties, the food, service, and guidance are second to none.
The exclusivity of Singita Serengeti House allows you to tailor your day exactly as you want.
Whether you want a long lie-in one morning, or an all-day safari from dawn until dusk the next, your guide, chef, and host will ensure that all your wishes and needs are catered for.
Since Singita has its concession, activities are not as limited as they are in the National Park itself.
On offer are game drives (where off-roading is permitted), walking safaris, night driving, and even horse riding safaris if you are of a good riding standard.
Whilst the Serengeti in its busiest season can become busy, staying at Singita allows you the opportunity to escape the crowds and have a first-class, exclusive, and personal experience that you will not forget.
A typical Northern Tanzania itinerary would see you explore the Ngorongoro Crater Area for a couple of days before flying over to the Serengeti.
Whilst the Crater boasts a great number of animals, its small size means that one day on safari, there is more than enough. Other activities in the area include visiting local Maasai communities and hiking.
Once you reach the Serengeti, you eat, breathe, and sleep safari. There is nothing quite as awe-inspiring as the Great Migration, with millions of wildebeest who annually follow the rains.
Combining two lodges, one in the park and one in a private concession, gives you access to the best of both worlds. The migration and a great variety of activities without the crowds.
There are so many options for a safari in the Serengeti, and each camp has different deals.
Whether you are on honeymoon or planning to stay for an extended period, make sure you speak with one of our Tanzania experts, who would love to walk you through the options and deals you can take advantage of.
Price starts from $ 13, 920 per night for exclusive use
