Hand-plaited thatched rooftops, ample verandas, and colonial interiors at Ngorongoro Farm House, a small and exclusive hotel built on a 500-acre coffee plantation, all of which have been designed to take you to the comfort and style of past times.
Take a walk around the farm to observe daily activities, relax in the fragrant gardens, or enjoy spectacular sunsets with the Oldeani Volcano as a backdrop.
An excellent stop-off during a safari on Tanzania’s northern circuit and a privileged base from which to visit Ngorongoro Crater or enjoy activities such as walking safaris to the volcano or excursions to Lake Eyasi in the Rift Valley, still inhabited by the Hadzabe tribe.
Accommodation
Chalet-style bedrooms are located on the ground floor and feature a private terrace or balcony. Overlooking the gardens and/or coffee plantation. Ample and comfortable. Rooms with a double bed or two single beds.
Each room has a bathroom with a shower. The family room consists of two rooms connected by a door.
The thatched leading building houses the bar, dining area, library, and lounge, where guests can relax on cool evenings in the highlands.
The lodge has extensive gardens, offering panoramic views and a swimming pool overlooking Oldeani Volcano. There are also spa/massage facilities.
Suite
The Suites offer more space and include features such as fireplaces, separate lounges, and beautiful Victorian bathtubs in the en suite bathrooms.
Standard Room
Each Standard Room at Ngorongoro Farm House is spacious and designed with local materials.
The beds are draped with mosquito netting, and the rooms feature large windows with great views and spacious verandas.
The en suite bathrooms have flush toilets, basins, and hot showers.
The Standard Rooms are available in twin, double, and triple configurations, with a few interconnecting rooms for families or groups of up to six.
Some face the lush coffee plantation, while the rest have beautiful views of the valley.
Dining
Ngorongoro Farm House offers delicious meals, with many ingredients sourced from the farm.
A delicious spread with cooked options is available for breakfast; a fresh buffet is provided for lunch; and a four-course set menu accompanied by an extensive wine list is available for dinner.
Delicious picnic lunches are provided for those who go on a day safari.
Meals are taken in the dining room, on the extensive veranda, or around the swimming pool
