This luxury Tented Camp is located within the Katavi National Park. The Chada Katavi Camp offers six tents suitable for safari travelers. The spacious tents feature open fronts and wide verandas with panoramic views of the Chada Plain, where steady streams of animals come and go over the course of the day, including Elephants and large herds of Buffaloes.

The tents are raised on wooden platforms with plenty of net windows to let in the passing breezes. Old-time safari ambiance is enhanced with wooden furniture, woven rugs, and crisp white Egyptian cotton linens on comfortable beds. En suite bathrooms are equipped with eco-flush toilets and traditional safari-style bucket showers with hot and cold water available upon request.

The dining tent and library are located in a clearing, inviting spots to relax between the excitement of daily wildlife drives. Evenings begin with sundowners around a crackling fire, followed by a hearty dinner under the stars.

From your vantage point either on the veranda of your tent or from the upper viewing lounge, you can join the predators watching the plains game during the day. Then anticipate the excitement of the predators hunting their dinner as the game moves back to the trees in the evenings.

Katavi consists of 6 large Meru-style tents, overlooking the plain; each built on a raised wooden platform and sheltered from the midday sun by a traditionally thatched roof. Each tent is en-suite and has its own large veranda with hammock and chairs. There are four double tents and two twin tents, and all have a safe
