This luxury Tented Camp is located within the Katavi National Park. The Chada Katavi Camp offers six tents suitable for safari travelers.
The spacious tents feature open fronts and wide verandas with panoramic views of the Chada Plain, where steady streams of animals come and go over the course of the day, including Elephants and large herds of Buffaloes.
The tents are raised on wooden platforms with plenty of net windows to let in the passing breezes. Old-time safari ambiance is enhanced with wooden furniture, woven rugs, and crisp white Egyptian cotton linens on comfortable beds.
En suite bathrooms are equipped with eco-flush toilets and traditional safari-style bucket showers with hot and cold water available upon request.
The dining tent and library are located in a clearing, inviting spots to relax between the excitement of daily wildlife drives. Evenings begin with sundowners around a crackling fire, followed by a hearty dinner under the stars.

Katavi Wildlife Camp
Katavi Wildlife Camp is set amongst the trees that fringe the Katisunga plains. You can join the predators watching the plains game during the day From either the vantage point on the veranda of your tent or from the upper viewing lounge.
Then anticipate the excitement of the predators hunting their dinner as the game moves back to the trees in the evenings.
Accommodation
Katavi consists of 6 large Meru-style tents, overlooking the plain; each built on a raised wooden platform and sheltered from the midday sun by a traditionally thatched roof. Each tent is en-suite and has a large veranda with hammocks and chairs.

The camp is located where the Katuma River drains the Katisunga plain and the two-story main banda is perfectly located to maximize viewing of the daily movements of the game between grazing and drinking from the Katuma River.
Downstairs consists of a bar, a few sitting areas with comfortable armchairs, and a cozy dining area at the front of the banda, overlooking the Katisunga plains. Upstairs is a sitting area where guests can relax in the day’s heat, with stunning and far-reaching views overlooking the Katisunga plains. There is a small selection of books and magazines to browse.
