The Residence Zanzibar is a super-luxury resort located on the island’s southwest, approximately one hour from Stone Town, where the airport is located. The resort is near Kizimkazi, a fishing village and a popular spot to swim with dolphins off the coast.
The resort is large, with 66 villas, a spa, a reception area, a kids’ club, two restaurants, and bar areas.
The resort is spread out over a large area, and the best way to get around is by golf cart or bicycle provided by the lodge.
The centre of the lodge is centred on a large infinity pool, with plenty of sun loungers and space to relax with a drink nearby, perfect for a Tanzania Family Holiday.
There are 66 villas in total: 34 Luxury Garden Pool Villas with one bedroom, 13 Luxury Ocean Front Pool Villas with one bedroom, 11 Prestige Ocean Front Pool Villas with one bedroom, 5 Frangipani Garden Pool Villas with two bedrooms, 2 Frangipani Ocean Front Pool Villas with two bedrooms, and 1 Presidential Villa with two bedrooms.
The villas are spacious, with modern finishes at a very high level. You can eat meals on your veranda or in the villa if you prefer.
