Breezes is exceptional value for money.  It may be a large hotel but it delivers a trusty and excellent product.

It is our favorite in the ‘large hotel’ category and perfect for families and honeymooners alike.

Having been running for longer than most of the other properties on the island you can expect the years of experience to shine through.

The facilities are great and the lovely long pristine beach makes its size all worthwhile.

If you are looking for something smaller and with a good beach and facilities, then have a look at Ras Nungwi on the north of the island, but we do love Breezes.

Breezes Beach Club

Breezes is located on the south east of the island, on arguably the best stretch of beach around.

Although it’s tidal, the fine white sand epitomizes Zanzibar.  Breezes has two sister hotels next door; Palms which has only six rooms and Baraza which has 30.

The main area is vast, comprising of one main large restaurant, which primarily acts as a buffet.

There is also an inside main bar where a band sometimes plays (or a lone trumpeter).

There are two other restaurants which you have to book and pay extra for.  The central area consists of an enormous pool and day time bar where you can also order lunch.

Between here and the main beach are sun loungers covered with small thatch roofs.

There are 3 different room categories; standard rooms, suites and deluxe suites.

All categories are great value for money, differing in location and size.  None of the rooms are sea front, and they are all housed in small blocks, with about 8 in a block.

They have all the mod cons, including air-conditioning and lovely bathrooms and balconies.
