Ang’ata Camps

The Ang’ata camps are mobile camps situated in Tanzania’s most beautiful National Parks & Conservation areas.

These camps are designed to offer the highest quality accommodations one would expect from a tented lodge.

All Camps consist of 8 to 12 Guest Tents, a Dinner Tent where all meals are served, a Lounge Tent, the Camp Fire, a series of Staff,- Guides-, the Kitchen- and Storage tents.

The Lounge Tent contains locally fabricated sofas and armchairs, a bar, and a charging station for cameras, phones, and other small items the Guest needs to charge for the next Game drive.

The Guests can relax while enjoying a complimentary cup of Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate. The campfire or Bush TV  is lit when the weather permits.

Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp

The camp is set on the Eastern side of the Ngorongoro Crater’s rim, close to the Crater Lodge. The smallest camp with 8 Guest Tents including a 2 tent Family unit, a lounge, and a dining tent.

From our Ngorongoro Camp, you can easily reach Empakaai Crater on a day’s hike, visit a Maasai Village, go donkey riding with the locals.

Take a walk on the rim of the Crater accompanied by an armed Ranger or have a Bush Lunch on the Crater Floor.

Or you can celebrate your Wedding or Vowel Renewal in traditional Maasai style in your private camp.

Ang’ata Serengeti Camp

A large camp with 12 large Guest tents including a 2 tent Family unit, a lounge, and a dining tent. Each guest tent has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, vanity desk, and flush toilets.

Set up in Seronera, the central region of the Serengeti National Park, the camp allows easy game drives to most of the Serengeti’s regions.

In a day’s drive, you can reach Moru Kopjes and the Maasai Kopjes with the rock paintings and N’gong Rocks to the south, Grumeti River and the Western corridor.

Retima Hippo Pool, and even the Lobo area to the north, or explore Turner Springs to the west if you have already scouted the Seronera region.

Nearby situated are the Serengeti Visitors Center, Research Center, and Frankfurter Zoological Society Serengeti Headquarters. Seronera Airstrip is a 15-min drive away.

Ang’ata Tarangire Camp

The latest bush camp with 8 Guest Tents including a 2 tent Family unit, a lounge, and a dining tent. Situated in the heart of Tarangire National Park, overseeing the Tarangire River and close to Kuro Airstrip, this camp has a 180º view towards Tarangire Hill.

Only 5 Km away from Silale Swamp Plains where Elephants gather in their thousands regularly, Tarangire is also famous for its large concentration of Big Cats and tree climbing Pythons, even Kudus and the very elusive Oryx can be seen here.

Allowing for waking Safaris and Night Game Drives, this is the place to experience the bush in its full splendor. Kudos Airstrip is 1 Km away from Camp.

Ang’ata Migration Ndutu Camp

A large camp with 12 large Guest tents including a 2 tent Family unit, a lounge, and a dining tent. Just south-west of Lake Ndutu the camp is discretely set on the rift above the marsh allowing safe observation of wildlife just below camp.

800 meters to Lake Ndutu, 5 Km to Lake Masek, and 10 min away from Ndutu Airstrip and the Ranger Post this magic location is within easy reach of Shamba Maharagi.

Otherwise called the short grass plains to the south of the Serengeti in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where the Wildebeest gather in their millions in February and March.

Ang’ata Migration Bologonja Camp

A large camp with 12 large Guest tents including a 2 tent Family unit, a lounge, and a dining tent. Located near the Bologonja Ranger Post, our camp is an hour’s drive away from Mara River where you can witness the world-famous River Crossing,

With Nile Crocodiles laying in ambush and Big Cats on the shores awaiting the Migration from July to October.

Set in front of a big plain, you will most certainly be in the company of thousands of Wildebeest while enjoying your cup of tea in front of your tent.

Each guest tent has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, vanity desk, and flush toilets. Depending on the request, a King size bed or 2 Twin beds or triples are available.

The lounge is the place to meet other travelers and share your day’s Safari stories while enjoying a complimentary cup of Tanzanian Coffee or Tea.

Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are served in the dining tent, freshly prepared by professional Chefs daily.

Depending on weather conditions, it can be either fully opened to bring the surrounding bush into the dining experience, or it can be fully closed off in case of wind and rain.

Mosquito nets all around prevent most insects to come to bothering guests during their meals.

Food Standards

Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-free menus and other dietary requirements are available upon request, … carnivores: no worries in Africa.

Camp chefs chose all products at the source, processed in our central kitchen.
