About Mikumi National Park
Mikumi National Park is Tanzania's fourth-largest national park, sitting on the floor of the vast Mkata Flood Plain — a landscape so open and game-rich it is often called the "little Serengeti." Unlike the famous parks of the north, Mikumi remains refreshingly uncrowded and genuinely wild.
The park borders the Selous Game Reserve, creating one of Africa's largest wildlife ecosystems. Lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and zebras wander freely across the golden floodplains, while the Mkata River draws a constant parade of species to its pools.
Mikumi's location along the TANZAM Highway also makes it one of the most accessible parks on the continent — no internal flights needed.

Ensuite sur la logistique du safari : Boissons et snacks à disposition tout au long de la journée et les pique-niques étaient délicieux : repas chauds, cuisinés chaque jour servis avec nappe et vaisselle. Note – the migration is a natural event, and the timing varies month by month, year by year. Fortunately, it won’t happen in one day; it takes time to complete. We update most of our clients once the migration begins, so if your primary goal is to witness the migration, please contact us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate you.
